Return Policy

This page describes the return policy of Home Hardware Building Centre Lloydminster. Each and every Home Hardware store across Canada is independently owned and operated, and each store’s return policy may vary. Please contact your nearest Home Hardware store for details on their policy.

Returns with the Original Receipt

We will gladly offer an exchange or full refund within 90 days of original purchase for unused, undamaged, originally packaged merchandise accompanied by an original receipt. Cash refunds exceeding $100.00 may be refunded in the form of cash, cheque, or gift card at the discretion of a Manager. If a credit or debit card was used on the original purchase, that same card must be used to receive the refund.

Excluded Items

Regrettably, we are unable to accept returns of the following:

  • Items that are opened or not in resalable condition
  • Special order merchandise
  • Final sale or clearance merchandise
  • Mystery Gifts or their contents
  • Live goods
  • Food or beverages
  • Custom-tinted paint or stain
  • Cut materials
  • Used hygiene-sensitive or health-sensitive items (eg. food or beverage preparation, toilet seats or toilets, undergarments)
  • Used outdoor power equipment (subject to the manufacturer’s warranty)
  • Gift cards

In addition to the above list, we are unable to accept returns of the following if they were purchased from a different Home Hardware store:

  • Lumber
  • Building Materials
  • Furniture
  • Major Appliances

Returns from a Different Home Hardware Store

Each independently owned Home Hardware store is proud to accept returns of catalog merchandise purchased at a different Home Hardware store. Items must be accompanied by the original bill of sale and are subject to our store’s return policy & exclusions.

Returns with a Gift Receipt

We gladly offer an exchange or full refund, in the form of a gift card, within 90 days of original purchase. A gift receipt ensures you receive an exchange or gift card for the purchase price.

Warranty Exchange & Repair

All defective merchandise is subject to the manufacturers’ warranty terms and will be replaced or sent away for repair as per the manufacturers’ directions. The original bill of sale is required for all warranty claims.

Price Adjustments

We will gladly offer a one-time price adjustment when you present your original sales receipt within 7 days of purchase (some exclusions apply; see below*). Price adjustments for promotional pricing such as flyers or events may only be claimed while the promotion is still valid. Price adjustments within 7 days of a Scratch and Save event will receive a 10% discount*.

* Discounted seasonal items are final sale and not eligible for price adjustment.

Scene+ Points

If you return any merchandise from an order on which Scene+ points were earned, points will be revoked by the refund amount in increments of 50.
